GARRY OTTOSEN

Garry Ottosen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Most recently, they served as the Chief Credit Officer at Yep Technologies, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, Garry was a Board Member and Cofounder at Yep!, starting in January 2022.

From February 2022 to March 2023, Garry was the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Optum Bank.

Before joining Optum Bank, Garry held the position of Vice President of Credit at Oxygen, a digital banking platform aimed at meeting the needs of freelancers and digital natives. GARRY was responsible for managing credit solutions for the gig economy from May 2021 to February 2022.

Prior to Oxygen, Garry served as the Chief Credit Officer at Rakuten Bank America from March 2019 to May 2021.

Garry also has substantial experience at Comenity Capital Bank, where they held the roles of Senior Director, Bank Stress Testing from June 2018 to May 2021, and Chief Credit Officer from June 2011 to June 2018. At Comenity Capital Bank, they were involved in building model risk and enterprise risk management programs.

Before joining Comenity Capital Bank, Garry worked at Zions Bancorporation as part of the Technology and Operations Risk Management team from September 2009 to June 2011.

Earlier in their career, Garry held the position of Chief Credit Officer at Sallie Mae Bank from 2005 to 2009 and at Conseco Bank from 2000 to 2004.

Garry began their career at American Express Centurion Bank, where they served as a Senior Manager in Business Analytics from 1997 to 2000.

Overall, Garry Ottosen has held various leadership positions throughout their career, specializing in credit risk, risk management, and banking operations.

Garry Ottosen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, which they obtained from Utah State University from 1978 to 1984. Subsequently, they pursued further studies and completed a Master of Science degree in Statistics at Brigham Young University from 1994 to 1996.
