Austra Muizniece

Austra Muizniece is an experienced language professional with a robust background in Latvian translation, localization, and quality assurance. Currently serving as the Latvian Language Lead for Airbnb at Translated since March 2019, Austra has successfully trained and managed a team of approximately 25 translators and editors, while localizing 900,000 words in three months. Additional roles include Language Specialist for GetYourGuide and Latvian Language Translator/Reviser for sherpa°. Since September 2008, Austra has been a Latvian Language Reviewer for Google at Vistatec, overseeing language quality assurance and terminology development. Responsibilities also extend to coaching and mentoring for Spotify as a Latvian Language Specialist. Prior experience includes leading a localization team for Uber at Moravia IT and verifying data collection tools for various European surveys at cApStAn Linguistic Quality Control. Austra Muizniece holds a degree from Latvijas Universitate, obtained in 2008.
