Catherine Jex

Catherine Jex is an experienced editor and science communicator with a strong academic background in paleoclimatology. As Editor in Chief at GEUS since February 2019, Catherine has previously served as an editor at ScienceNordic from May 2015 to December 2018 and completed an internship at the same organization in April-May 2015. A freelance science editor from 2014 to 2015, Catherine has expertise in various subjects, particularly in earth science, geology, and environmental chemistry. Catherine's research experience includes positions as a Research Fellow at UNSW Australia, a Research Associate at the University of Birmingham, and a post-doctoral training position at the British Geological Survey, supported by prestigious grants. Catherine holds a Ph.D. in paleoclimatology from the University of Birmingham, alongside a Master's Degree in Environment and Climate Change and a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Geography.
