Dirk van As

Dirk van As is a highly experienced researcher and leader in the field of polar meteorology and glaciology. Currently, Dirk serves as a Senior Researcher at the Ice and Climate Research Organization (ICRO) and as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Stichting Abri Voor Dieren. Dirk has held the position of CEO at Greenland Guidance since January 2018, providing logistics and scientific support for operations in Greenland. Additionally, Dirk is an Adjunct Senior Researcher at GEUS, focusing on the Greenland ice sheet's climate change responses, and a Guest Researcher at Utrecht University. Dirk is also a Climate Advisor for The Dasht Foundation, enhancing climate awareness and community empowerment. With a robust background including the founding of Cryo Connect and contributions to various research initiatives, Dirk holds multiple degrees from Utrecht University and other prestigious institutions.
