Cabell Massey has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting from 2005, Cabell worked at CB Richard Ellis as a Research Analyst and later as an Intern/Sales Associate. In 2010, Cabell joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Assurance Senior Associate. In 2014, Cabell interned at Ball Corporation as a Legal Intern. From 2015 to 2018, Cabell worked as an Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, also serving as a Summer Associate in 2015. Cabell then interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a Legal Intern in 2015. From 2016 to 2018, Cabell returned to Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP as an Associate. In 2018, Cabell joined WilmerHale as a Senior Associate until 2021. Cabell then worked at Gevo, Inc. from 2021 onwards, starting as a Senior Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary, then as Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, and currently serving as the Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary. Cabell also joined the Center for Legal Inclusiveness as a Board Member in 2023 and became an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado Law School in 2022.
Cabell Massey completed a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Colorado from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, Massey pursued a Master in Professional Accounting at the Texas McCombs School of Business from 2009 to 2010. Massey's undergraduate education was at The University of Texas at Austin, where a Bachelor's Degree was obtained from 2003 to 2008, with a focus on Economics and Government. Massey has additional certifications as a Licensed Attorney from the Colorado Supreme Court and the State Bar of Texas. Massey is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of Colorado and Texas.
