Christian Petersen

Christian Petersen serves as the Assistant General Counsel for Project Development and Finance at Gevo, Inc., focusing on the company's Net Zero sustainable aviation fuel projects since August 2023. Petersen is also the Principal at North Lakes Legal since January 2022. Previously, Petersen held significant legal leadership roles, including Chief Legal Officer at Penn America Energy Holdings LLC and Managing Senior Counsel at Total and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed project finance and marketing for the Mozambique LNG Project. Petersen's legal career began with positions at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering and Paul Hastings, culminating in extensive experience in corporate law. Educational credentials include a JD from Boston University School of Law, an MA in African Studies from UCLA, and a BA in History from UC Santa Barbara.
