Geoffrey Holmes

Geoffrey Holmes is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in bridge engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as Lead Bridge Engineer and Vice President at GFT since April 2025, Holmes previously held positions as Vice President, Office Director, and Lead Bridge Engineer at TranSystems from May 2021 to May 2025. Prior to that, Holmes worked with TranSystems, formerly L.R. Kimball, from January 2006 to May 2021, progressing through roles including Chief Bridge Engineer and Assistant Chief Bridge Engineer. Between June 1996 and December 2005, Holmes contributed as a Transportation Engineer at the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Geoffrey Holmes earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University, where studies took place from January 1992 to December 1996.
