Steffie Bunk is an experienced public health researcher currently working at GGD Fryslân since January 2021, focusing on health monitors in collaboration with the epidemiology team. Prior to this role, Steffie served as a PhD candidate in geriatrics at Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen from October 2016 to December 2020, conducting research on pain in dementia, which included participant recruitment, cognitive and pain assessments, statistical analyses, and writing scientific publications. Steffie Bunk holds a Doctorate in Geriatrics from the University of Groningen and has a Master of Science in Neurosciences and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Life from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, as well as a Gymnasium diploma from Goois Lyceum Bussum.
