Ton Coenen

Ton Coenen is currently serving as the Algemeen directeur at GGD GHOR Nederland since January 2022. Prior to this role, Ton was the Executive Director at Rutgers, kenniscentrum seksualiteit from January 2016 to December 2021. With a background in Health Sciences, Health Education & Mental Health from the University of Maastricht and a Master of Public Management from the University of Twente, Ton has held various leadership positions in organizations focused on healthcare, HIV/AIDS, and sexual health. Ton's work has been dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare, fighting against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria, and advocating for the end of AIDS worldwide.
