Krista van Velzen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in psychiatric nursing and community engagement. Currently serving as a Psychiatric Nurse at GGNet since January 2018, Krista focuses on personality disorders. Additionally, Krista is a co-founder and board member of Stichting Wonen, Werken Waldeck Pyrmontkade, which creates a residential community in The Hague. Previous roles include working as a disability care provider at De Passerel and a campaigner for nuclear disarmament at PAX for Peace. Krista has a background in nursing and care for invalids, including volunteer work in palliative care at Jacobshospice and supportive roles for sick children at Mappa Mondo. With a prior distinguished career as a member of the Dutch Parliament, Krista possesses a strong foundation in political advocacy related to various social issues. Educational qualifications include ongoing training as an EMDR therapist and multiple degrees in related fields.
