Edel O' Toole

Edel O' Toole has over 25 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical and research and development industries. Edel began their career in 1996 as a Formulations role at Procter and Gamble. In 2000, they moved to Biovail Technologies, where they held a Formulations role and a Research and Development role. From 2004 to 2013, they were the Formulations Director at Merrion Pharmaceuticals Plc, where they were responsible for putting together the formulation and process development group with QA and project management support systems. In 2013, they became a Consultant at McGee Pharma International, managing projects for their client database and providing expertise on Quality Assurance and Regulatory. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Quality Assurance Manager at United Drug, managing the QA function, developing and maintaining the Recall and Complaint System, and managing deviations and internal and external audits. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Project Coordinator at Bewleys Coffee Ltd. Edel then moved to Avectas, where they held the roles of Senior Director of Product Management, Head of Project Management, Project Manager, and Head of Project Management. Edel is currently the Director of R&D Program Management at GH Research.

Edel O' Toole's education history includes a Diploma in Applied Sciences from DIT Kevin Street (1993-1996) in the field of Biomedical Sciences, General. Edel went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree from the University of Greenwich (1997-1999) in Science. In 2013, they completed a PRINCE2 Project Management course from Sureskills.
