Maria Inês Amaro

Maria Inês Amaro has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Maria Inês is currently working as a Manager of Drug Product at GH Research since August 2021. Previously, they worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin from March 2016. Before that, they worked as a Product Development Manager at Sublimity Therapeutics from October 2020 to May 2021. Maria also has experience with Iterum Therapeutics plc, where they served as a Manager of Drug Product Development from January 2017 to October 2020. Maria Inês has also worked at Mylan Specialty as a Development Scientist and Senior Inhalation Scientist from July 2015 to January 2017. Maria's work experience also includes being a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin and serving as the AAPS Student Chapter Chair at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, both from September 2013 to December 2014. Maria Inês has also worked as a Locum Pharmacist at Prices Medical Hall from May 2011 to August 2013. Maria started their career as a PhD researcher at Trinity College Dublin from November 2008 to December 2012. Maria Inês also gained experience as a summer intern at Merck in 2012, working on various projects related to product development and commercialization.

Maria Inês Amaro completed their education in two separate institutions. Maria Inês pursued a Master of Pharmacy degree at Faculdade de Farmacia da Universidade de Lisboa from 2001 to 2008, specializing in pharmaceutical sciences. Afterward, they enrolled at Trinity College Dublin to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology from 2008 to 2012.
