Scott Bernth

As an engineer, Scott is committed to designing energy-efficient, sustainable mechanical systems that provide a high level of indoor air quality, allowing building occupants to do their best work in a comfortable environment. At Ghafari, he leads a Chicago-based mechanical team and is responsible for design oversight, resource management, staff development and mentorship, and quality assurance.

With over 20 years of experience, Scott has applied his engineering expertise to all facets of mechanical design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. His project portfolio encompasses a variety of scopes and facility types across the aviation, corporate, education, government, manufacturing, and energy markets.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue University. He is affiliated with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, and the National Fire Protection Association.
