Roanna Purcaru

Roanna Purcaru is a highly experienced professional in water engineering and project management with a strong background in the water sector. Currently serving as Project Director and Lead Engineer - Storm & Surface Water at GHD since January 2022, Roanna also holds leadership roles in community initiatives and business group leadership focused on water in Southern New Zealand. Previous positions at GHD from February 2011 to September 2021 include Engineering Design Operations Lead and Project Manager in various capacities. Roanna's expertise extends internationally, evidenced by a volunteer tenure with the Cook Islands Office of the Prime Minister to enhance water supply systems. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The University of Auckland, an MBA from Purdue Global, and specialized coursework in Water Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
