Isabel Paeme

Head Of Communications at Ghent University

Isabel Paeme has extensive experience in communication roles. Isabel started their career as a Communication Officer at the Flemish Science Policy Council in 2002 and later worked as a Communication Officer at the Ministry of Culture at Flemish Government from 2004 to 2005. Isabel then joined Ghent University, where they served as a Press Officer and Spokesperson from 2005 onwards. In 2009, they became the Head of Communications at Ghent University, overseeing both internal and external communication strategies.

Isabel Paeme has a diverse education history. Isabel attended Vlerick Business School in 2012, where they studied Brand Management. In 2011, they also studied People Management at Vlerick Business School. Prior to that, they pursued Media and Information Science at KU Leuven from 2000 to 2001. From 1996 to 2000, they studied Germanic Languages and Literature (Dutch, German, Norwegian) at KU Leuven. Isabel also attended Sint-Bavohumaniora in Gent from 1989 to 1995. In addition, they have an interest in Norwegian Language and Literature, which they studied at the University of Bergen (UiB). Lastly, they participated in the Vacature Vlerick Summerschool 2005 in Marrakech, although the field of study is unspecified.
