Jeet Chakraborty

Jeet Chakraborty, PhD, is a Senior Researcher at Ghent University since October 2021, focusing on heterogeneous photo and electrochemistry, specifically in developing redox-active electrodes from porous materials for applications such as electrocatalytic CO2 reduction and water splitting. Chakraborty has received a BOF Research Grant and the Marie Curie Seal of Excellence and supervises research on CO2 sorption and catalysis. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at Wuhan University of Technology, where Chakraborty developed heterogeneous catalysts, and Researcher at Ghent University, where Chakraborty worked on photocatalysts for wastewater treatment. With a PhD in Material Science from Wuhan University of Technology and a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Chakraborty's academic and research journey reflects a strong foundation in chemistry and material science, complemented by several prestigious grants and fellowships.
