Marcela Arias

Marcela Arias is a skilled data processing and operations specialist with extensive experience in satellite remote sensing and geomatics engineering. At GHGSat Inc. since January 2017, Marcela has supported satellite operations and executed atmospheric retrievals pertaining to greenhouse gas emissions. Prior experience includes a role as a geomatics engineer at CESBIO from 2012 to 2016, where Marcela developed GIS data processing tools and conducted research on thematic map production. Additional roles as a research assistant and intern involved technical expertise in GIS and remote sensing, while earlier work at IMA Ltda. focused on environmental impact studies. Marcela holds advanced degrees in geomatics and environmental management from Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès and Université de Bordeaux, as well as an engineering degree from Universidad El Bosque.
