Founder, CTO and Board Member at Ghost

Volkmar Uhlig is a German entrepreneur and technology executive. Volkmar is the founder, chief technology officer, and a board member of Ghost, a non-profit organization that develops and maintains an open-source blogging platform of the same name. Uhlig also served as Entrepreneur in Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures from 2016 to 2017.

Prior to their work with Ghost, Uhlig was the chief technology officer of Adello, a software company that provides programmatic advertising solutions, from 2013 to 2016. Volkmar also founded and served as the CTO of HStreaming, a startup that developed a real-time big data processing platform, from 2010 to 2013. Uhlig spent four years at Teza Technologies as an architect from 2010 to 2012, and they were a research staff member at IBM from 2005 to 2009.

Volkmar Uhlig earned their PhD in Computer Science from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Volkmar also holds a Masters in Computer Science from Technische Universität Dresden.
