David Matslofva, CISSP has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and cybersecurity. David is currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Ghost Security Inc. Prior to this, they worked at Sumo Logic where they held the positions of Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Sumo Logic had acquired JASK, a company where David had worked as a Technical Director and Founding Engineer and Security Software Architect. Their role at JASK involved technology partnerships, integrations, engineering, and designing security operations solutions.
Before their time at JASK, David worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Lead Architect and Principal SIEM Platform Engineer, where they played an integral role in the development and management of the ArcSight security product portfolio. David was also responsible for architecting and deploying the largest non-government ArcSight SIEM deployment at that time.
Prior to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, David worked at Sony Network Entertainment Int'l (SNEI) as a Lead SIEM Engineer, where they were involved in deploying and managing SIEM infrastructure to protect the Sony Playstation Network post-breach.
David's early experience includes working at Alchemy Security, LLC as a Security Engineer and Security Operations Center (SOC) Intern. As a security engineer, they traveled extensively and worked with customers across EMEA and Canada on various cybersecurity projects.
Throughout their career, David Matslofva has demonstrated their expertise in software engineering and cybersecurity, with a strong focus on modernizing security operations and improving threat detection and response capabilities.
David Matslofva, CISSP, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, majoring in communication, computer networks, and security from The Royal Institute of Technology. David attended this institution from 2007 to 2010.
