Sapna Sadarangani Werner

Sapna Werner is a Partner at ghSMART. She is a trusted advisor to private equity investors, CEOs, Boards and C-suite executives of Fortune 500 companies in driving performance and de-risking high stakes leadership decisions through objective and rigorous management assessment, leadership development and coaching, succession planning, and top team effectiveness.

Prior to joining ghSMART, Sapna ran her own advisory practice serving a diverse range of clients, from start-ups to non-profit institutions to leading private equity firms, on issues related to strategy and talent. Previously, she was the Senior Director of Global Human Capital Strategy and Leadership Development at Tishman Speyer, a leading international real estate investment firm. At Tishman Speyer, she partnered with the firm’s senior leadership team to align the organization with its top business priorities. On a global basis, Sapna led key executive searches, managed integration efforts following major acquisitions, launched new high potential talent pipelines, and designed professional development programs. During her tenure, she also oversaw talent management activities in the Emerging Markets (India, Brazil, and China), key engines of the firm’s growth.

Prior to Tishman Speyer, Sapna was a management consultant in the New York office of McKinsey & Company. She worked across a variety of industries, with a focus on media and entertainment. Her client engagements centered around driving operational and organizational effectiveness and developing growth strategies through new products, services and markets. In addition to her client work, she held numerous leadership roles on the firm’s people initiatives including managing associate recruiting for the Northeast Office complex.

Sapna graduated from Harvard College summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with an A.B. in Social Anthropology. She also earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and is a registered attorney with the New York State bar. She resides in New York with her husband and daughter.
