Geoff Phillips, SPHR, CCP, SHRM-SCP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Geoff is currently the Director of Human Resources at GHT Limited. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Human Capital for North America at Manganaro Building Group LLC, where they built a Human Capital function for the company and implemented cost-saving measures. Geoff also served as the Human Resources Director at Total Civil Construction, where they oversaw HR and Safety for the company and trained new HR staff. Geoff has also held leadership positions at Kokosing and Shapiro & Duncan, Inc, where they provided leadership and technical expertise in HR and compliance. Their earlier experience includes roles at Martin-Brower, Sears Logistics Services, Inc., and The Ohio State University.
Geoff Phillips, SPHR, CCP, SHRM-SCP has a strong educational background in both human resource management and business administration. Geoff holds a Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) with Distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, which they obtained in 2007. Geoff also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction from the same institution, earned in 2006. Prior to that, they pursued graduate work toward an MA in Latin American Literature & Culture at The Ohio State University from 1994 to 1996. Their undergraduate education includes a BA magna cum laude from Denison University, with a major in Latin American Area Studies and a minor in Mathematics, completed in 1994.
Geoff has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Geoff holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, earned in 2007. In addition, they are a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) accredited by WorldatWork since 2014. Geoff is also a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), having achieved this distinction in 2015. Geoff has further augmented their skill set with certifications in Diversity and Inclusion in Human Resource Management from HRCI, HR Business Partners from SHRM, and OSHA Construction Industry Certifications from the OSHA Safety Training Institute.
