Carolyn Wales has extensive work experience in various leadership and technical roles.

Starting in 1992, they worked at EA, where they held positions such as Technical Director, Technical Project Manager, and Manager of Release Services. During this time, they played a crucial role in jump-starting EA's development of Playstation games, acted as the primary technical contact with Sony, and served as a liaison between EA and its game developer community.

In 2002, Carolyn joined Liberate Technologies as an Engineering Manager. Carolyn was responsible for managing the development of client set-top box software for European customers, which accounted for a significant portion of the company's revenue. Carolyn also served as the project lead for the Enhanced TV 2 project.

Carolyn then joined Impact Bay Area in 2004 as the Board Chair, where they held a leadership role until 2008.

From 2007 to 2011, they worked at iControl Networks, first as the Director of Product Management, where they managed the development of the Touch Screen Home Security platform. Later, they became the Director of Professional Services, overseeing the launch of the iControl platform at Comcast and ADT.

In 2011, Carolyn founded Medea Software and served as the Owner/President. Carolyn provided product and engineering consulting services while exploring leadership roles at early-stage startups. Additionally, they developed an IoT strategy for a video security company considering entering the IoT market.

Most recently, Carolyn joined Giant.AI in 2018. Carolyn started as a Staff Engineer, leading a ten-person team responsible for creating custom platform code for Giant's multi-purpose robot. Later, they were promoted to Engineering Director, where they managed the team responsible for the core robotics platform and drivers. Carolyn reported directly to the CEO and was also responsible for cross-company engineering planning and coordination.

Throughout their career, Carolyn has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a track record of successfully launching products and managing cross-functional teams.

Carolyn Wales received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Stanford University, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. Carolyn later pursued further education and earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2004 to 2006.
