Choon Hong Tan

Choon Hong Tan's work experience includes various roles in well-known organizations. Choon Hong is currently the Head of the Direct Investments Group for Developed and Southeast Asia at GIC since March 2022. Choon Hong Tan was previously the Managing Director at Northstar Group from September 2011 to February 2022. Before that, they worked as a Director (Special Projects) at C S Partners Pte Ltd from September 2007 to July 2011, assisting ultra high net worth clients in business consulting, family governance issues, and wealth management. Choon Hong also served as the Vice President of Special Investments at GIC from July 2005 to March 2007 and as an Associate in Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank from March 2001 to June 2005.

Choon Hong Tan holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Choon Hong also completed their A Levels at Victoria Junior College from 1991 to 1992, and their O Levels at Catholic High School from 1987 to 1990. Additionally, they earned a CFA certification from the CFA Institute in 2006.
