Pim de Vries

Pim de Vries is an experienced professional specializing in waste handling and energy management. Currently serving as the Operation Director for Waste Handling & Pelletizing at GIDARA Energy since October 2021, Pim has previously held roles such as Sustainability Advisor at Gemeente Rotterdam and COO at AVR, where responsibilities included the strategic development of operational departments overseeing over 400 employees. Pim also has extensive experience as a Plant Manager at Van Gansewinkel, managing a waste-to-energy plant, and in logistics management at Van Leeuwen Buizen and ECT Rotterdam. Pim holds an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and has completed the first year of Economic Science at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
