Derek Schneider

Derek Schneider has a wealth of experience in the engineering and software development space. Derek began their career as a Student Instructor Assistant and Coordinator at The Ohio State University in 2012. Derek then moved on to become a Co-op Software Engineer at CoverMyMeds in 2014, followed by a Software Engineer role at Taivara in 2014. In 2015, they were a Co-Founder of Tribe, LLC and a Software Engineer at CoverMyMeds. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Director, Engineering & Founding Team Member at ScriptDrop, where they oversaw initiatives to launch multiple top 5 and 10 pharmacy chains, worked with product owners to expand product lines, scaled app architecture, mentored and managed engineers, introduced an RFC and ADR process, built and led the hiring process, implemented a production support team, and contributed to SOC II Type I and vendor assessments. In 2021, they took on the role of Principal Engineer at Negotiatus and CTO at giftHEALTH.
