Raheel Nawaz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Raheel currently works at GIG Saudi as the Head of Strategy, PBR, and IFRS 17 implementation lead. Prior to this, they were the Head of Financial Risk, Operational Risk, and Internal Control at AXA Insurance Gulf from 2015 to 2022. Raheel also worked at AXA Cooperative Insurance Company as an RM, where they represented the Risk Management agenda and managed various risk management frameworks. Before that, Raheel served as an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young Bahrain, where they conducted statutory audits and implemented international financial reporting frameworks. Raheel'searly career also includes a role as an Assistant Manager at KPMG Pakistan, where they performed assurance services, assessed business and internal control risks, and reviewed financial statements.

Raheel Nawaz FCA, PRM, APA has a diverse education history. In 2001, they began their studies at the FCA, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, where they pursued a degree in Chartered Accountancy and focused on accounting and auditing. This endeavor lasted until 2007.

In 2004, Raheel attended Bahauddin Zakariya University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a specialization in Economics.

Continuing their education in the field of accounting and finance, they attended the Institute of Public Finance Accountants of Pakistan in 2005, where they earned a degree in Public Finance Accountancy.

More recently, in 2018, Raheel pursued further education at the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA), concentrating on Risk Management and acquiring the credentials to become a Professional Risk Manager.
