Robert Bullen has a strong background in software engineering and network analysis. Robert began their career in 1996 as a Software Engineer at Net3 Group. Robert then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at WildPackets, where they incorporated technology and visualizations into the company's software. In 2007, they co-founded Bitcricket, a network analysis consulting and software company, where they served as a Founder and Chief Architect. At Bitcricket, they developed a wireless network visualization utility and gained expertise as a network analysis consultant.
Robert then joined US Bank in 2010 as a Principal Network Engineer, utilizing their packet analysis skills to troubleshoot and optimize network applications. Robert also contributed to the Wireshark open source project. In 2013, they joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as an Application Performance Engineer, where they performed packet analysis and configured APM appliances.
In 2018, Robert joined Constellation as a Principal Product Engineer, developing web applications using React, Vue, and Express. Robert also designed a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline using GitHub and AWS CodeBuild.
Most recently, Robert worked at Avalara starting in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer. Robert focused on full stack web application development using Vue, Vuetify, Express, sequelize, and PostgreSQL on AWS ECS.
Currently, Robert is employed as a Senior Sales Engineer at Gigamon.
Robert Bullen attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 1994 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Robert then went on to study at the University of Minnesota from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In December 2019, Robert obtained a certification as an Associate Web Developer from OutSystems.
