Ravi Rishy-Maharaj has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ravi is the founder and CEO of GigSky, a global mobile network for travelers that specializes in international data coverage. Ravi Rishy-Maharaj played a key role in positioning OpenTV (now NAGRA) for an IPO as the Strategic Business Development lead. Prior to that, they worked in industry marketing at Sun and product line management at Apple. Ravi also held various positions at Nortel, including product engineering and management. Additionally, Ravi Rishy-Maharaj founded Digital MicroSystems (Canada) and worked on product engineering for CNG Fuel Systems. Ravi also served as CIM Engineering for NaS Battery Production at Magna International - Powerplex Technologies JV. Currently, they are an expert contributor for The Fast Mode.

Ravi Rishy-Maharaj received their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University between 1977 and 1982. Ravi then pursued an MBA (Partial) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at York University. Additionally, in June 1984, they obtained the certification of a Registered Professional Engineer from Professional Engineers Ontario.
