Carolyn K. Thompson, MBA has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the Gila River community. Carolyn K. began their career in 1999 as the Director of Internal Audit-Gaming for the Gila River Indian Community, where they conducted compliance and operational audits of multiple gaming properties. Carolyn K. demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of gaming regulations, including Tribal Internal Control Standards, State of Arizona Compact Requirements, and National Indian Gaming Commission MICS. In 2007, they joined Gila River Hotels & Casinos as the General Manager, overseeing the operations until 2020. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer for Gila River Health Care, bringing their expertise and leadership to the organization.
Carolyn K. Thompson, MBA has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. Carolyn K. also holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Arizona State University.
