Alexandru Popesco

Alexandru Popesco has extensive experience in the satellite communications sector, with a focus on support and engineering roles. Currently serving as the Global Support Center Team Leader at Gilat Satellite Networks since April 2011, Alexandru provides guidance to the engineering team, oversees operations, and assesses personnel performance. Previous positions include Senior Satcom Engineer at Gilat, where responsibilities included resolving customer issues and supporting satellite system installations, as well as multiple roles at Gogo, where Alexandru acted as the main liaison during project implementations. Alexandru also worked as a Consultant Engineer for Hispasat and held earlier roles at IPPAE and International Travel Network. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Networks and Embedded Systems from the University of Strasbourg and a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei.
