Silvia Matute

Silvia Matute is a seasoned Human Resources professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades in various managerial roles. Currently serving as Director de RR. HH. at Gildan since January 2022, Silvia previously held the position of Human Resources Director for Honduras at VF Corporation from January 2018 to July 2021. Prior to that, Silvia was the Human Resources Director for Latin America at Williamson & Dickie, overseeing HR activities aligned with company strategy across multiple sectors. Additional experience includes serving as Corporate Human Resources Manager for Garan Incorporated and managing diverse functions at Bufalo Free Zone, where Silvia was responsible for recruitment, training programs, and project management. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Human Resources from IEDE, an MBA in Human Resources from UNITEC, a certification in Business Coaching, and a degree in International Law from Universidad Privada de San Pedro Sula. Silvia is also engaged in ongoing education through INCAE's Capstone Program.
