Bala Tummala

Bala Tummala has extensive experience in quality assurance and validation within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Currently serving as a Validation Lead at Gilead Sciences since April 2022, Bala oversees the implementation of a new GxP system to enhance pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. Prior roles include Quality Engineer-IV at AbbVie, focusing on Data Integrity for manufacturing sites, and multiple positions at Gilead Sciences, including Validation Lead and Senior Validation Engineer for GxP systems. Earlier career experiences include Quality Analyst roles at UnitedHealth Group and ALcontrol Laboratories, and a Research Assistant position at the University of Hertfordshire. Bala holds a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Hertfordshire, an MBA in Health Care and Compliance from The University of Findlay, and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry from Andhra University.
