Bitna Yi

Bitna Yi is a highly experienced pharmacologist with a strong background in drug discovery and development. Currently serving as a Director at Gilead Sciences since August 2018, Bitna has held multiple roles within the company, including Associate Director and Senior Manager. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine, where Bitna focused on innovative approaches for developing selective agonists for G protein-coupled receptors and supported therapeutic discovery for Alzheimer's disease. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from The Ohio State University, a Master's in Toxicology, and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Sookmyung Women's University. Additionally, Bitna has contributed to research on endocrine disruptors and has a background as a part-time pharmacist in South Korea, emphasizing patient education and medication safety.
