Diego Miranda is a Principal Scientist at Gilead Sciences with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. They possess extensive expertise in metabolic dysfunction related to obesity, insulin resistance, and Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Diego has pioneered innovative in vitro assays using humanized mouse models and is skilled in Next Generation Sequencing, metabolomics, and lipidomics. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, their previous roles include Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco, and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.
