Eric Standley

Principal Scientist, Process Research And Development

Eric Standley is a Principal Scientist in Process Research and Development at Gilead Sciences since December 2016, leading a team of 15 scientists in the development of small-molecule drug substances and overseeing various processes including route scouting, scale-up, and solid form characterization. Prior to this, Eric held positions as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at WWU Münster, contributing as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow. Eric also served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on ultra-high-throughput screening technology, and completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry at MIT. Educational achievements include dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and German Language and Literature from Boise State University, both earned Magna Cum Laude.
