Jenna Franke

Jenna Franke is a Senior Research Scientist I at Gilead Sciences, specializing in medicinal chemistry with a focus on immuno-oncology and anti-viral programs since June 2019. Previously, Jenna completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, where significant research involved designing and synthesizing a novel class of water-soluble BODIPY fluorophores and working on various organic transformations in Evan Miller's lab. Prior experiences include roles as a Research Assistant at Northwestern University, where Jenna contributed to the biomimetic synthesis of natural products, and as a Drug Development Intern at Baxter Healthcare. Jenna holds a B.A./M.S. in Chemistry from Northwestern University and also has a background in sales management from work with Vector Marketing Corporation.
