Peper Long

Peper Long is an accomplished communication professional with a robust background in media relations and public affairs. Currently serving as Senior Director at Gilead Sciences since September 2025, Peper previously held a similar role at Intuitive from December 2017 to October 2025, where expertise in media strategies was further developed. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director at the FDA and as Press Officer at the same organization, alongside a role as Communications Director for Climate Change and Energy at the United Nations Foundation for a short tenure in 2007. Additionally, Peper's career includes a significant position as Assistant Director in the Press Office at the Smithsonian Institution's National Zoological Park. Peper holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from American University School of Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Wake Forest University.
