Alex Dimmock

Alex Dimmock is a skilled urban designer currently serving as a Senior Urban Designer at Gillespies since January 2023. Prior experience includes positions as an Urban Designer at Urbis from February 2020 to December 2022 and as a Junior Urban Designer at Deicke Richards for a brief period in 2019. Alex also contributed to academia as an Urban Design Tutor at The University of Queensland. Early career roles include Student Planner at Wall Planning & Environmental Consulting and Research Scholar at The University of Queensland, where contributions included translating a documentary and testimonies related to the Algerian War. Initial experience in the workforce began with roles at McDonald's and Berg Engineering Pty Ltd as a Crew Member and Translator, respectively. Academic qualifications include a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and Linguistics, both earned at The University of Queensland.
