Megan Jacobsen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Megan started their career as a Student Assistant at the Fresno County Farm Bureau in 2003. Megan then worked as a Press Secretary at Associated Students Inc. - Fresno State in 2004, followed by a role as a News Intern in University Communications at California State University, Fresno from 2005 to 2008.
From 2008 to 2010, Megan served as an Account Manager at Cohen Communications, where they managed client relationships and executed communication programs for various clients. Megan then joined the Fresno Chamber of Commerce as a Governmental Affairs and Communications Manager in 2010, where they cultivated relationships with elected officials and developed messaging for the organization.
In 2011, Megan became the Director of Membership at the California Fresh Fruit Association, responsible for promoting and maintaining membership with top producers in the fresh fruit industry and educating members about relevant regulations. Megan then moved on to Solutions 4Earth in 2015, where they served as the National Marketing Manager. In this role, they managed marketing strategies for multiple territories and achieved better results in lead generation and customer retention.
Most recently, Megan worked at Gills Onions as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, responsible for managing the sales and marketing division that services all 50 states. Gills Onions is the world's largest fresh-cut onion processor, known for its dedication to innovation, conservation, sustainability, and food safety.
Megan Jacobsen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education with a concentration in Communications and a focus on Public Relations from California State University, Fresno in 2008. In 2016, they attended the Harvard Extension School to study Marketing Strategy. In 2019, they completed the United Fresh Leadership Program at Cornell University.
