Johanna Schein

Archivist at Gilman School

Johanna Schein currently serves as the Archivist at Gilman School since September 2016. Prior experience includes working as a Collections Documentation Specialist (Contractor) for the Smithsonian Institution, where responsibilities involved legal title and standardization for the Collections on the Web team, and as an Archives Technician for the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, focusing on legislative archives. Additional roles include a Graduate Assistant position at University of Maryland Baltimore County, where Johanna managed archival records and guided research initiatives, as well as internships at the Center for Legislative Archives, Franklin & Marshall College, and the Goldsmith Museum. Johanna holds a Master of Arts in Historical Studies with a concentration in Public History from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Bachelor of Arts in American/United States Studies from Franklin & Marshall College.
