Emily Axelrod

Emily specializes in copy editing and proofreading, with additional expertise in copywriting. In her former career as a legal assistant at a boutique law firm, Emily was the go-to person for quality checking all documents before filing them in court. For over a decade since she has worked as an English tutor and college professor. Courses she teaches regularly include business and professional writing, technical writing, and composition. She’s also a poet and fiction writer, having published a volume of her poetry, Minor Injuries, in 2014. Emily brings all this training to her work with Gimga Group, helping clients to deliver clear, correctly formatted writing. She holds a B.A. in Literature from Purchase College, an M.A. in English from City College of New York, and is a member of the New Jersey Writing Alliance, and the National Council of Teachers of English.
