Brad Chapman

Brad Chapman is a seasoned professional in bioinformatics and data science with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as Principal Data Science Architect at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. since February 2019, Brad previously held the position of Senior Research Scientist at the Harvard School of Public Health from April 2011 to May 2019, and worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital from September 2008 to April 2011, where collaboration on research projects was a key focus. Prior to these roles, Brad contributed to Codon Devices as a Bioinformatics Scientist from January 2005 to September 2008 and completed a PhD in Plant Biology at The University of Georgia, where studies took place from 1999 to 2004, following a Bachelor of Science in Plant Molecular Biology at Michigan State University from 1995 to 1999.
