Rita Ashok Sethia

Born in Rajasthan, brought up in Kolkata, Mrs. Rita Sethia is an accomplished fashion designer. Having completed her graduation from Kolkata in the field of science in 1985 she went ahead and changed her career path completely to fulfil her dream of becoming a designer. She got herself a diploma in Fashion Designing in 2008 from SNDT University, Mumbai and thus began her journey in the fashion industry. Mrs. Sethia has around 10 years of experience in the domestic garment industry and has made herself well connected with the fashion houses across the globe. She is well versed with the entire gambit of apparels. Her frequent travels to Middle East nations and other Asian countries keep her updated about the fashion trends around the world and with her immense knowledge of Indian fashion markets, Mrs. Sethia successfully keeps her company up-to-date about the new styles and the current industry demands. At the same time, Mrs Sethia does not shy away from trying something new from time to time or giving her designs a fresh twist. Her design philosophy revolves around strong, independent women are confident of their femininity which is well represented in the silhouettes, fabrics, surface and textures of her designs.
