Francesco Casalegno

Francesco Casalegno has been working in the field of machine learning and high performance computing since 2013. In 2013, they were an intern Simulation Engineer at the European Space Agency (ESA). Francesco then worked at RUAG Space as a Simulation Engineer from 2014-2015. From 2015-2023, they worked at the Blue Brain Project as a Machine Learning Section Manager, Machine Learning Engineer, and High Performance Computing Software Engineer. In 2023, they began working as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Giotto Compliance.

Francesco Casalegno obtained their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Politecnico di Torino in 2012. Francesco then went on to receive their Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 2014. In 2020, they obtained their Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org, and their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute in June of the same year. In October 2021, they obtained their Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 certification from Databricks, and their CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation in December 2021.
