Julie Greene

Julie Greene is an experienced professional with a strong background in renewable energy, impact investing, and social entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Consultant at Giraffe Bioenergy, Julie is involved in establishing local ethanol cooking fuel manufacturing in Kenya. Previously, as Managing Director at Renewvia Solar Africa, Julie oversaw operations in Kenya and Nigeria, and was instrumental in launching a subsidiary in Ethiopia. Julie also held roles as Investment Manager at Future Day Global, Advisor at Kweza Craft Brewery, and Co-Founder of The Women's Bakery, emphasizing social and economic empowerment. Early in the career, Julie gained valuable insights into social issues through service in the Peace Corps and as an AmeriCorps volunteer. Julie holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from Macalester College.
