Kavita Ayyagari

Kavita Ayyagari currently serves as the Country Director for India at Girl Effect, where the focus is on supporting girls in their health, education, and livelihoods. Previously, Kavita held multiple leadership roles, including Country Director and India Team Lead at Howard Delafield International (HDI), overseeing initiatives aimed at empowering young people through mobile gaming. Experience also includes a Senior Communications Consultant position at the Centre for Advocacy and Research, Project Director for the YUVAA initiative at Pathfinder International, and Head of Advocacy Communications & Strategic Partnerships for the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from JNU, a PG Diploma in Advertising and PR from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and a Master's in Economics from Osmania University.
