Girl Guides of Canada
Martina Doucet has extensive experience in youth support and education, currently serving as a Key Worker and Youth Support Worker at Active Care Youth and Adult Services since November 2019. In addition to this role, Martina has been involved with the Girl Guides of Canada since July 2014, holding positions such as Guider, District Commissioner, and DEI Trainer, where efforts focus on creating a safe environment that fosters leadership and interpersonal skills among youth. Previous experience includes teaching various subjects at Sylvan Learning, working as a Starbucks Barista and Banquet Server at Aramark, and serving as a Teacher’s Assistant at Thompson Rivers University for a field school in Eastern Europe. Martina holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Thompson Rivers University, with studies in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, and Theatre.
