Erica Nofi has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Currently, they are serving as the Interim Director of Institutional Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships at Girl Scouts of Greater New York since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the American Museum of Natural History as the Director of Donor Relations from April 2015 to August 2021.

Before joining the museum, Erica worked as a Consultant at The Whelan Group in 2014, where they provided management services to clients and formulated recommendations based on data analysis. Erica also served as an Associate Consultant at the same organization in 2014. In 2009, Erica joined The New York Academy of Sciences as the Associate Director of Development, where they managed relationships, solicited funds, and negotiated budgets. Erica also held the roles of Manager, Campaign and Annual Giving, Development Associate, and Development Assistant during their tenure at the Academy from 2009 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Erica worked as an Administrative Assistant II and Intern at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2005 to 2009. Erica was responsible for financial and administrative tasks, grant composition, and event planning. Prior to that, they worked as a Teaching Fellow at Brandeis University from 2003 to 2005 and as a Teaching Assistant at Reed College from 2002 to 2003.

Erica Nofi began their education journey in 1999 at Reed College, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics in 2003. Erica then pursued further study in Physics, obtaining their Master of Arts (MA) degree from Brandeis University between 2003 and 2005. Continuing their education, Erica attended Tufts University from 2005 to 2008, where they completed a certification in Museum Studies.
