Deborah Hearn Smith

Deborah Hearn Smith has extensive experience in leadership roles within the Girl Scouts, specifically with the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and the Girl Scouts of Hoosier Capital Council. Deborah began their career as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Hoosier Capital Council in 1970 and later became CEO of the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana in 2000. Deborah's dedication to the organization is evident as they served as CEO for nearly two decades, retiring in 2017.

Deborah Hearn Smith completed their Bachelor of Science degree in History, Political Science, and English from Kentucky State University from 1966 to 1970. Deborah later pursued their MBA in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University and completed it from 1980 to 1982.
