Cheri Amado

Cheri Amado is a Senior Software Systems Engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin Company. She has over 30 years of experience at the company working in various capacities in the Engineering & Technology department including work on numerous military and commercial helicopter programs involving the development of software manufacturing execution systems.

Cheri most recently served on the Steering Committee for Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Fund for Women and Girls. She also served as the financial officer for the Fairfield County and New Haven CT Professional Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Cheri currently serves on the Mid-Fairfield County Dress for Success Advisory Board. She is proud to have members of her family and friends that participate in the Girl Scouts. Cheri is also a committed STEM advocate for local area youth.

Cheri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairfield University and also holds an MBA and MS in Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
